The hotel offers a mixed experience with amazing suites but lackluster standard rooms. The service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall disappointing stay. Its location is convenient for exploring the town and enjoying a stress-free time, though some aspects need improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The standard room was rather bad and didn't live up to the hotel's expectations. However, the king suite was amazing with a four-poster bed and spacious layout.

The hotel had a great bed but a very small bathroom. The service was fantastic, and the location was quiet and ideal for sleeping. Dining was excellent, but it was in the sister hotel next door. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.

Rooms

The room had a great, exceptionally large bed but the smallest bathroom we encountered. The over bath shower was a nice touch.

The hotel offers spacious rooms with separate showers, a luxurious spa bath, and friendly staff. It was nicely decorated with a jacuzzi bath, though some areas needed a bit of TLC. A slight inconvenience was having to walk across the road for breakfast instead of having everything in one place.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were very nicely decorated and had a jacuzzi bath.
Service
8.0
The staff couldn't do enough to help, resolving issues swiftly and allowing us to leave our car parked after check-out. They were very pleasant.
Location
7.0
The location was good, about a 10-minute walk to the seafront. Despite the scaffolding outside our window, the hotel's position was wonderful at their sister property across the street.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was to a separate hotel for breakfast which was a bit chaotic and lacked dairy-free/vegan options. The dining across the road was a shambles.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had dry cleaning, housekeeping, and offered a welcome drink.

7.2/10

My stay at the hotel was a blend of modern amenities in an Edwardian setting. The room I got, though rather small, had excellent modern facilities while still maintaining the traditional atmosphere. However, I was a bit disappointed to find the windows covered with scaffolding and the room not properly cleaned with broken shower screen, cobwebs everywhere, and the bed left unmade on my second night.

Rooms
7.0
The room had excellent modern facilities while retaining the atmosphere of a traditional Edwardian residence.
Service
6.0
The service was somewhat flippant but nice at the same time, with limited choice of drinks at the bar. However, the staff were most helpful and developed the running skills of Mo Farah with their speedy service.
Location
8.0
The location was quite cute and perfect for quick access to the town center and seafront, just a 5-minute walk to the zig-zag down to the beach and boardwalk.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was nice, with excellent continental and cooked-to-order options, although not as luxurious as other places. Fresh orange juice was a plus.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel provided dry cleaning, housekeeping, and a welcome drink.
